There are 7 main steps that make up organizational rights namely:

  1. Promote and provide a framework for collective bargaining
  2. Give effect to the Constitutional right to engage in collective bargaining.
  3. Balance the power of the employer.
  4. Promote strong trade unions, majoritarianism.
  5. Give effect to freedom of association.
  6. Manage industrial relations and conflict.
  7. Limit (but not prohibit) strikes over recognition.
